Eastbourne Sovereign Sailing Club is hosting an open day on Saturday 7 May, offering visitors the chance to try sailing and find out if it is something they want to do more of.

Eastbourne Sovereign Sailing Club Open Day

Eastbourne Sovereign Sailing Club is inviting Eastbourne Residents to its club house on Fishermans Green on the eastern promenade this Saturday to see the club house and experience a sail in a racing dinghy or catamaran.

It promises to be a fun packed session, but if you want to take up the offer of a free sail dont forget to take a change of clothes and a towel, you are likely to get Wet!!

If the experience proves enjoyable, or you are already hooked on the idea of learning to sail, then talk to the Club about taking your ambitions forward - they will be running sail training courses this summer, and now is a perfect time to sign up.

If you cant make the open day on 7 May, but want to try sailing then give the club a call.  They will be running 'Try Sailing' sessions on various weekends over the coming weeks.

To find out more just drop by their Clubhouse on the Promenade at Fisherman's Green (BN22 7AA), between 12:00 Noon and 4:00pm on Saturday for an onshore visit. Come and talk to members over tea and cake and find out what the Club can offer.

  • Try Sail sessions are subject to suitable weather conditions.
  • If this offer is taken up by anyone under the age of 18 they must be accompanied by an adult.
  • You should inform the club of any medical condition that might affect you whilst on the water as a reasonable level of fitness is required.
  • Eastbourne Sovereign Sailing Club cannot and will not accept any liability however caused to persons or belongings of person taking advantage of this offer.
  • Buoyancy aids will be supplied.
  • To be sure of a Try Sail, please book in advance.
